“Polyphony in Duration” represents and includes everyone, authors and audience alike, interested in the process which unfolds between two Polyphonies. This year, the focus is on “Polyphony Resources” that signify research and making concept of this year’s programme, evaluation of the results of 21/22nd Bitef Polyphony, and the beginning of a new process of communication, of following events, and of the new cycle of creating 23rd Bitef Polyphony which is to take place next year, within 56th Bitef. We continue the dialogue on topic “Play for Life” through interviews with the ones who have participated in Bitef Polyphony since its inception, among whom a special place belongs to the author of the book Art and the Culture of Resistance, Milena Dragičević Šešić, as well as to the authors she writes about, Zorica Jevremović, Dijana Milošević, whose socially engaged theatres marked the last decade of the twentieth century, Bitef Polyphony in the past period, and who are nowadays pushing the boundaries of engaged art. The process is opened by a new project, “Shakespeare’s Children”, with the performance Midsummer Night’s Dream, by Little Theatre “Duško Radović”, with an intention to realize the idea of a conceptualized theatre package. New research, interactions, performances, workshops, video-works, films, manuals… all of that will be, over the upcoming period, presented by Ivona Janjić, Ana Marjanović Shane, Marko Pejović, Goran Golovko, Jasminka Petrović, Jelena Stojiljković, Ana Popović, Monika Necpalova, Nataša Milojević, Nikola Isaković…

For the first three-part inventions of the Polyphony Vladimir Krušić, Sead Đulić, Ljubica Beljanski-Ristić, and some new authors and artists who will appear and surprize us with their art, creation, research, and engaged work.
