After each performance in the main Festival programme authors and actors meet with the audience, local artists, critics and media representatives.
It would not be wrong to say that the history of world theatre took part in this programme from the second half of the 20th century until the present day. All artists that Bitef brought to Belgrade participated in this programme, and the transcripts and recordings of the discussions are valuable material for researchers and theatrologists. These are kept in Bitef’s archives, in Jovan Ćirilov’s Legacy and in the Historical Archives of Belgrade. In addition to this, the transcripts are posted on the Bitef Festival official blog on a daily basis.
This year, in addition to discussing the performances, their elements and the processes through which they were created, we will also talk about the thematic framework of the selection: the future, visions of the future, green policies and all other social practices that can help prevent a dystopian future.
