AGATA JUNIKU (1974) teaches at the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Zagreb. Upon finishing the studies in Philosophy and Comparative literature in Zagreb, she finished post-graduate studies in Philosophy at Université Paris 8 and obtained her PhD at the Faculty of Philosophy in Zagreb. She is the author of the book Indoš and Živadinov, theatre-bio-graphies: Light and the Ludic as Modes of the Political in Theatre (2019). She has been following contemporary theatre and dance practices since 1988, when she started cooperating with Radio 101 as a journalist and editor. She was the executive producer of radio-programmes Kazalištarije and Odeon: izvedi i snosi posledice broadcast by the Third Programme of the Croatian Radio for ten years, and has worked for a long time for the journals Zarez and Frakcija. Her research is mostly focused on contemporary theories of performance, construction and presentation of identity in theatre, as well as the procedures and strategies of political activity in the context of performing practices, including radio art.
